Good, Clean Fun

One of the things I love about little kids is how much they love the simple pleasures of life. A couple of weeks ago I was cleaning the stove and filled the sink with soapy water. Talmage saw the bubbles and instantly wanted to play. So I filled the sink again with fresh water and let him have at it!

He thought it was hilarious to smear the bubbles all over his face and head. I was worried about them stinging his eyes when he rubbed them in, but he didn't seem to mind...

In the video below, you can see how he kept eating the bubbles and insisting they were "Mmm!"

He was extremely tired at the time--for some reason instead of his usual 2 1/2 hour nap, he played in his crib for over an hour before starting to fuss and insist that he didn't need a nap. So he had gone all day without a nap. As you'll see in the video, he was a mixture between hyper/silly and sedate. After we cleaned up the bubbles, he crawled onto my lap and fell asleep. Sam came home and found us like this:

He would not stop taking pictures! This look on my face says, "I'm pregnant and it's the end of a long day...definitely not feeling photogenic! No more pictures!" He only took about 10...

And here is the video. Silly and sedate, just like I mentioned above. :)

  5. Shoot. I had several browsers open and maybe it was coming from one of them while I watched the video. Awkward! I was kind of wondering why you had it going in the background... :)
