Yesterday, the 13th, was my birthday! We celebrated it on Saturday, however, because Sam planned yet another sweet surprise for us to do on Saturday. Our first date was June 14, 2008, and we went to the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City to see a film in the IMAX theatre! Last year we went back to the Clark Planetarium and watched another movie in the IMAX theatre. And this year, he followed through with the tradition and took me to the IMAX theatre at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston! Here we are wearing our 3-D glasses. The movie was AMAZING!!! It was about the Hubble Telescope and the crew of astronauts that went to fix it. The images from the telescope were absolutely magnificent. It truly made me miss studying physics. Sam and I are such documentary buffs, and science ones are always a favorite.
Here we are outside the museum, staring into the extremely bright sun!
Then we came home, and Sam made me dinner along with birthday brownies!
Then I opened presents (this one was a waffle maker), and we played for the rest of the evening. Thanks for making the day so wonderful, Sam! And thanks for robbing the cradle, too. :) I'll be forever grateful I avoided the subject of age until we were a ways into our relationship.
