Pioneer Day at Silver Lake

Last Monday was Pioneer Day--a Utah specific holiday that is simply grand!
Our family has yet to camp out for the incredible Days of '47 Parade in Salt Lake,
but this year Sam suggested we "hike" around Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood Canyon.
It's little more than a dirt path and boardwalk surrounding a beautiful lake--
and very manageable for a stroller and a 9-months pregnant lady.

Outings like these are getting me through these last days of pregnancy,
as I have virtually no commitments since the baby could come at any time
and my to-do list is all but complete.

Sam suggested in all seriousness that I treat myself to Jamba Juice every day that the baby is overdue.
I'm thinking his suggestion sounds pretty wonderful!

  1. I'll have to check this place out!!! Also, have you tried Roxberry Smoothies at Farmington Station? They're pretty similar to Jamba, but they're located closer and they are a little cheaper I think :) I love them!

    1. It's a fun one! And like I said, very do-able while pregnant and/or with a stroller. :) I'll have to try out Roxberry! I haven't tried them, but my sister-in-law has raved about them.

  2. What a beautiful place. I think it is so cool that you even got pictures of a deer and squirrel.
