Wesley was climbing onto high surfaces on our balcony,
putting himself in precarious situations that lent themselves well
to his toppling down to the ground below.
I made him come inside and he began to throw a characteristic 2-year-old fit.
"Noooo! I'm not coming inside! NO!"
And then, the picture of absolute calm with a tone of voice that said so clearly,
"Sorry, Mommy, I'm going outside. I am."
When he was met with a simple shake of the head again,
he abandoned the calm, reasonable approach and once again began screaming.
I reached for the camera and said,
"I'm going to take a picture of you crying."
The crying immediately ceased and as I snapped a photo he said sulkily,
"I want to see it."
In other news, tomorrow is GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!
Our family celebrates with a "Conference Party"
featuring a spread of treats we seldom/never have during the rest of the year.
Including the essential Puppy Chow.
Talmage and Wesley have been staying up late, discussing Conference treats with each other and quizzing me about them during the day. We're well-versed on our General Authority songs and have played many rounds of our General Authority matching game. It's like Christmas!
They are incredibly excited, and so am I!
Even if you're not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (a.k.a. Mormons), feel free to join tens of thousands not of our faith and tune in.
The messages are uplifting to all!
