A Day at the Beach

Right before our trip to Utah, we spent a lovely day at the beach with friends. The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of summer.

It was so cute to see two little almost-3-year-olds pulling each other on the little boogie board. Talmage is so fortunate to have so many little boys just his age in our ward!

Wesley sampled some sand and determined quite quickly that he was not a fan.

This little dude made me one paranoid mama with how comfortable he was in the water and how much he enjoyed sticking his face in, but it was certainly fun to see him so thrilled!

We're so lucky to live so close to the beach!

Playtime Together

Wesley is starting to get to the age where he and Talmage are actually playing together, and it makes me so happy to see!

Banging on pots together is a fun game...

As is taking all of the recipe books off the shelf.

And they love playing in the cupboard under the sink!

They were playing the piano together one evening.

We pulled the poof over to the bottom of the stairs one day and had a poof-jumping party--a flashback from my childhood!

Wesley played on the stairs while Talmage jumped.

I needed to put some things up in the attic one day, and Talmage was quick to climb up after me and explore.

He was so enamored with all of the pipes and wires!

Poor Wesley felt like he missed out on all the fun.

I sure am smitten with these two! There are few things better than playtime together. I'm so grateful we get so much of it!

"There's a Gecko on my Head!"

Most of the time when you walk into a room and see something scurry away in Texas, it's not a happy thing. But on this day, we opened the bathroom door and a gecko ran across the floor! I grabbed it and let Talmage hold it. He thought it was hilarious when I stuck it on his head. He was such a cute little guy! Talmage loved playing with him until, sadly, the playing was too rough and poor Mr. Gecko met his untimely demise.

Banana Pops

Frozen banana pops are a hit with my little guys around here. And I just can't get enough of those peanut-buttery faces!

Learning to Walk

Wesley started taking steps right around 9 months! He's now walking like a pro. Those first, wobbly steps are so ridiculously cute! He was just as excited as I was.

He is our poor little hot boy. The ride home from Church in the summertime in our car with a/c that doesn't really work just about does him in. His face was still flushed while I was taking pictures!
